Vedic astrology recognises a set of two non-luminous as shadowy planets. These are the most famous planets known as Rahu and Ketu which
are located at the northern and southern nodes of the Moon. Two other
planets which are referred in Vedic astrological literature as Mandi and
Gulika are the non-luminous planets which have never been considered to
have physical shape or form although Puranas have described them.
They are Sons of Shani Maandhi and Kuligan.from his two wifes Mandhadevi and Jyeshtadevi , They Influence The People On a Daily Basis
Any
activity carried out during Gulika(Flowering Time) period will be
repeated once again. So its an auspicious time for starting activities
like building a house, buying assets or vehicles. Marriage should not be
conducted during this period for obvious reasons. And no dead body
should not be taken out of the house to the cremation ground during
Gulika. Here is a table showing Gulika for every day of the week. The chart below is prepared assuming sunrise at 6am and sunset at 6pm, hence minor variations may be there.
